Mick Jagger

Mick Jagger

Gov. Tim Pawlenty and his wife, Mary, sat down for a long interview with the 700 Club last week. The two-term governor talked more openly about running for president than is typical, discussed governing “perhaps the most liberal state in the country,” and reflected on the role of religion in his life. He also named Jesus Christ, Abraham Lincoln and Mick Jagger as the three figures he’d most like to have over for dinner.
Although Pawlenty is more frequently linked with the fiscal conservative wing of the Republican party, he is a longstanding Evangelical christian. He attends Wooddale Church, in Eden Prairie. The church’s pastor, Leith Anderson, is president of the National Association of Evangelicals
